X-Plane 12 Day & Night Lighting Edits

Description

This zip file contains X-Plane 12 Night Lighting adjustments. These changes do not require reshade and/or lua scripts, everything is contained within XP12. The following files have been edited: lites.txt, 1000_lites_close.png as well as multiple DDS ground splash tiles. Installation is simple!

One does not need the DDS ground splash edits to use my lights. If you don't mind the ground splash tiles in the distance, just replace the lites.txt and 1000_lites_close.png files and you're done. If you use my blackened DDS tiles, you should consider installing extended lights by utd4life (link included in the instructions) to give you lights out in the distance.

Hi IDK, These lights are setup for exterior views as I do not use any 3D panels. You could try using the non reshade version of the lights, that will remove the whiteout look to the flight deck.

This addon, while looking beautiful, does affect some SASL-based aircraft like the Flightfactor 757v2. What happens is when power is turned on to the aircraft, the cockpit is washed out to pure white, and you cannot see anything.

Hi naeem, I run version 6.5.1 of reshade and don't have any issues other than once in a while I'll get a crash during boot of the sim. I try again and it's fine.

Hi Diamonds_Dancing, When I get done I'll have the newer whitish (LED) type lighting, orange/yellow tint lighting to represent 1990's and Mercury tube lighting from the 60's/70's that has the bluish/green tint to it. I'm hoping to have both reshade and non reshade version completed soon. Right now I'm finishing up far tiles to give a better fill past where extended lights end.

I have been using reshade but recent nvidia graphics card update, using reshade now causes CTD.

Not sure what is going on with X-Plne.to upload system, but it needs work! Tried numerous times to upload version 7.2 and keep getting kicked out. Looking for another upload location for my lights!!!!!
